MIDWAY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Midway Renaissance in conjunction with Pamela Perlman Law Office, Zynergy, Midway Business Association and Mr. Salt-E planned Midway’s first music festival in under six months. Local musician Andrew Nelle says he first had the idea for the music festival when he noticed the natural amphitheater off Main Street. He says the mayor was completely onboard and wanted to get the ball rolling.
“I’m just, I’m so happy and I’m honored and I’m privileged to be apart of this process,” says Nelle.
Midway Renaissance says it hopes to see this music festival become an annual event to bring people out to experience all of Midway’s charms.
“The beauty of seeing the volunteers come together, seeing sponsors that are locals that own businesses come out of the woodwork and say ‘hey, yes, we wanna support that’,” says Elisha Holt, event coordinator. “It just creates a community feel, which is really what Midway’s all about.”
